FSSC 22000 scheme was developed by The Foundation for Food Safety Certification, and is a complete certification framework for food safety management systems, providing models that can be used in the whole food supply chain, including the production of packaging material covered by technical specification ISO/TS 22002-4.

BRC certification is one the most widely used models for retailers and hypermarkets to qualify their product suppliers and whose goal is to assure that these ones comply with certain requirements that guarantee the health standards and the highest safety of its food, providing also a certification models for producers of food contact packaging material.

Both FSSC 22000 and BRC certification schemes are fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), only accessible to companies with robust Food Safety Management System in place meeting the requirements of customers and consumers.
