Coexpan - Rigid packaging
We are pioneers in the extrusion of rigid plastic sheets and thermoformed packaging, providing high quality solutions for the food, home care, personal care, medical and industrial sectors.
Plastic transformation process in which a thermoplastic material (such as PP, PET, PS, PLA, among others) is melted and through a flat head is converted into coils or sheets for our customers.
This extruded sheet is then used for processes such as thermoforming, where it is molded into rigid containers (trays, cups, lids, clamshells, etc.).
Thermoforming is a manufacturing process in which a previously extruded plastic sheet is heated to become malleable and then formed over a mold by vacuum, pressure or both, to shape it into a rigid container.
It is one of the most common processes for producing packaging such as trays, cups, blisters, lids or clamshells, especially in the food, cosmetics and medical industries.
